SeekMyDocs v1.0.0-alpha.1
SeekMyDocs v1.0.0-alpha.1 — first public alpha
Offline, privacy-first document search for Android. Indexes PDFs, Office
files, text, and more already on your device, then finds them by filename,
keyword, OCR'd scan text, or meaning — all on-device, no network access at
all.
What's in this alpha
- On-device semantic search via Snowflake
arctic-embed-s(ONNX Runtime),
bundled in the app — nothing downloaded at runtime. - Real OCR via PaddleOCR PP-OCRv4 for scanned/image-only PDFs; digitally
authored PDFs use their real text layer directly and never touch OCR. - An in-process HNSW vector index for fast semantic search over larger
document sets. - Hybrid ranking across filename, keyword, OCR, and semantic matches.
Downloads
Pick the APK matching your device's CPU. If unsure, use universal — it
works everywhere but is a larger download.

Installing
This build is self-signed for alpha distribution (not on the Play Store), so
Android will warn about an unknown source — that's expected. You'll need to
allow installs from your browser/file manager, and grant "All Files Access"
on first launch so the app can index your storage.
Known limitations
- Alpha quality: expect rough edges. Please file issues for anything broken.
- Search/indexing pipeline (outside the vector index and PDF-text-vs-OCR
path) is currently only manually verified, not covered by automated tests.
