NetSurvey 1.1.0

What's new

  • Modern dashboard with guided site setup, bottom navigation, a scrollable tool drawer, and light/dark/system themes.
  • Scanner SSID/BSSID search, connected-only filtering, per-band summaries, and timestamped signal cards.
  • Searchable saved-reading library with band filters, sorting, editable names/notes, filtered CSV sharing, and confirmed deletion/Clear All. Captured signal values and timestamps remain unchanged.
  • Project search and editing for customer, engineer, address and notes, plus confirmed project deletion.
  • Black-and-white Signal Meter with pause/resume, history reset, variation statistics, and labeled charts. History resets on BSSID or calibration changes.
  • Foreground-only live refresh/sampling and measurement wake-lock cleanup.
  • Fixed stale floor-plan tap callbacks during survey/calibration.

Download and install

Download NetSurvey-1.1.0-debug.apk below. This is the tested, installable debug-signed build, not a production-signed APK. Package: com.arjunren.netsurvey.debug; version: 1.1.0-debug; Android 8.0 or newer.

Open the APK on your Android phone and allow installation from that source if prompted. It can update a previous NetSurvey debug build only when its signing certificate matches. Do not uninstall an existing installation without exporting needed projects/readings first.

Production release signing is not configured; the optimized unsigned release APK is intentionally not distributed as an installable download. GitHub's source archives are available separately.

Verification

  • 19 JVM/Robolectric tests and 6 Android emulator tests passed.
  • Debug and optimized unsigned release builds succeeded.
  • Debug lint: 0 errors and 8 toolchain/dependency recommendations.
  • Dashboard, scanner and Signal Meter visually checked on the Android 16 / API 36.1 emulator.
  • Physical POCO F5 RF and field validation remains required. Android scan throttling and hardware limitations still apply; no simulated measurements are added by the app.
