This source-first release hardens the local transcript editor and makes long-form editing calmer and more deliberate.

- Name speakers and choose the retake candidate to preserve instead of automatically deleting alternate takes.

- Use dark mode and choose a Full, Compact, or minimized waveform without crowding the command bar.
Availability
This release publishes the validated source and Windows build instructions. A bundled public Windows binary is intentionally not attached yet while redistribution review for the included FFmpeg runtime and speech model is completed.
Validation
- 48 frontend unit tests, TypeScript checks, and a production build passed.
- 57 backend tests passed.
- Browser visual smoke covered the responsive command bar, dark mode, and Full, Compact, and minimized timeline states.
- The locally packaged Windows build (2026.08.11.ui-a846462) passed manifest validation and a packaged smoke test.
