Jasmine 0.3.1

This release removes the expensive full-workspace checkpoint from Artifacts tracking and makes file-change capture fast enough to leave enabled during normal chat.

Highlights

• Uses managed-tools-only tracking by default: only successful Pi write and edit targets are captured, with no project-wide traversal or hashing before and after a chat run.
• Adds an experimental native filesystem watcher mode for users who want to observe Bash and external file changes without an initial full scan.
• Clearly labels Bash changes as intentionally untracked in the default mode instead of reporting misleading partial workspace coverage.
• Keeps GitHub-style diffs, added/modified/deleted status, text and image previews, redaction, failed-run persistence, and deterministic net-change behavior for managed files.
• Adds a General setting for switching modes and preserves the selected mode across restarts.
• Migrates existing Artifacts data safely, including databases created by pre-release file-change builds.

Performance

An idle managed-tools-only run does not open unrelated workspace files. The regression suite covers a workspace containing an unrelated 1 GiB sparse file, bounded oversized managed targets, repeated edits, failed tool calls, and watcher create/update/delete events.

Standalone Pi package

The release includes @jasmine-ai/pi-file-changes 0.2.0 as both a package tarball and a ZIP. The package defaults to managed-tools-only; set PI_FILE_CHANGES_MODE=watcher to opt into native watcher mode.

Update assets

latest.yml and the NSIS blockmap are included for Jasmine's updater. The Windows installer is currently unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning. Verify SHA256SUMS.txt before running or installing an asset.
