Note: Cortex Suite is currently a source-build project. It is not distributed as a native binary for macOS or Windows, and users must build and configure it for their platform.

After extensive iteration, the core workflows are now substantially more stable in Claude Code. We continue to monitor the VS Code Copilot experience and welcome feedback if your experience differs.

Several Cortex tool calls were not consistently surfacing the most relevant context for agents. Those issues have now been addressed.

The self-learning loop is now more automated, Quartz-ctx and its related tools are used more consistently, and the richer contextual output at lower token cost is becoming more evident in everyday use.

We also introduced an early compaction hook that automatically reinjects key context details, improving token efficiency without losing the agent’s place in the current task.

Finally, we have implemented a protocol for handling apparent technical walls. Rather than treating documented limitations as hard blockers, agents now document the wall, the factors contributing to it, and the conditions required to overcome it. This may not affect every workflow, but for projects pushing beyond the current state of the art, it provides a more rigorous process for determining whether a limitation is truly fundamental or simply waiting for a better approach.
