M1 Max MBP 14": KDE Setup hijacks login after updating to Plasma 6.7 #590

Description

@constancebello

This Asahi installation has been set up since Saturday and was working fine before Plasma 6.7 was installed. Since then, every time I boot normally, I briefly see an app showing me updates to Plasma before my desktop session gets hijacked by KDE Setup taking over everything. Moving to the text console via Ctrl+Alt+Fn+F2 does not accept my credentials attempting to login. Adding s --force to the linuz line in the GRUB boot config results in this message and otherwise no change in results after pressing Return. This essentially bricks my install, which makes me very sad.

You are in rescue mode. After logging in, type "journalctl -xb" to view
system logs, "systemctl reboot" to reboot, or "exit"
to continue bootup.

Cannot open access to console, the root account is locked.
See sulogin(8) man page for details.
Press Enter to continue.
