Schema Diff

New \gdbviz diff\ command compares two geodatabase schema snapshots and reports exactly what changed.

What's New

  • Schema diff command: \gdbviz diff --before v1.json --after v2.json\
  • Node-level changes: added, removed, modified nodes with property-level diffs
  • Edge-level changes: added and removed relationships
  • Multiple output formats: terminal (rich tables), JSON, Markdown
  • CI-automation friendly: JSON output with structured summary for scripting

Extract two snapshots

gdbviz extract -p old.gdb -f json -o before.json
gdbviz extract -p new.gdb -f json -o after.json

Compare

gdbviz diff --before before.json --after after.json

Save as Markdown report

gdbviz diff -b before.json -a after.json -o changes.md

Save as JSON for CI

gdbviz diff -b before.json -a after.json -f json -o diff.json
