WP FileShelf v0.1.4
Staff upload and settings improvements
WP FileShelf v0.1.4 improves the staff upload workflow and makes the frontend upload page easier to configure and use.
Configurable staff upload page
The password-protected staff upload page is no longer locked to /wpfileshelf/.
Admins can now set a custom path in FileShelf Settings, with:
wpfileshelf
remaining the default.
For example:
/staff-docs/
or:
/hr-upload/
The Settings page also includes:
- Copy URL button
- Open Page button
Password improvements
- Added View/Hide controls for the staff upload password
- Password fields are automatically returned to hidden mode before saving
- Added autocomplete/password-manager suppression for FileShelf password and upload fields
- Password verification still uses the WordPress password hash
- A separate encrypted copy is stored so admins can reveal the current password later
Passwords originally saved in v0.1.3 or earlier must be entered and saved once under v0.1.4 before they can be revealed in Settings.
Frontend upload improvements
After a successful upload or replacement, FileShelf now displays the resulting public file URL directly on the staff upload page.
Staff can immediately:
- See the public link
- Copy the link with one click
- Continue uploading additional files
Other changes
- Updated rewrite handling for custom staff upload page URLs
- Updated uninstall cleanup for the new settings
- Updated README and changelog documentation
