v0.6.168
Note
This APK is for new installations and manual updates. If you installed Aster Mail from Google Play, it updates automatically. Aster-Mail.apk and Aster-Mail-0.6.168-full.apk are the same signed build: the first always points to the newest release and the second pins this version. Aster-Mail-fdroid-0.6.168.apk is the build F-Droid distributes.
What's new
- A conversation reads as a stack of separate cards again, each message rounded and set in from the edges, so the thread you are reading matches your mail list.
- You can turn on a constant connection to Aster in Settings > Notifications, so new mail arrives the moment it is sent even where Google services cannot be reached. It is off by default, and the settings screen tells you what your phone needs to keep it running.
- Long-press the From, Reply to, or Received on row in message details to copy the address on its own, the way the To line already worked.
Fixed
- Low network mode stays off unless you switch it on. Data Saver no longer turns it on for you, and an old saved value can no longer switch it back on the next time you open Aster Mail. The inbox banner now takes you straight to the setting and highlights it.
- A draft that is already queued can no longer be sent a second time, and your folder counts update as soon as a send finishes.
- The setup checklist stays on your inbox instead of following you into other folders.
- Quiet hours no longer resend after your plan declines the change, and recovery codes offer a retry when they fail to load.
- Empty folders no longer describe what to do on a desktop, and Polish, Russian, and Arabic show the correct plural for every count.
