Release list
DDS1 Randomizer 1.3.0
New: Windows version without Python. Download DDS1-Randomizer-1.3.0-windows.zip below (it is added a few minutes after the release, once GitHub has built it), extract it and double-click DDS1-Randomizer.exe. A window lets you choose your ISO, the seed and the options. The executable is not signed, so Windows SmartScreen may warn you: click More info > Run anyway. With Python, python -m randomizer without arguments opens the same window.
Better enemy scaling
- Instant-death spells (Mudo, Mudoon, Mamudo, Mamudoon) are now adapted to the enemy's level, like damage spells. For example, Beelzebub as the first boss casts Mamudo instead of Mamudoon.
- The special (boosted) versions of spells that some demons use (Isis, Queen Mab, the Four Oni…) are adapted too: a Queen Mab moved to the first dungeon casts Mazio, not a boosted Maziodyne.
- The spoiler log now also lists the skill changes made in the enemies' AI.
Fix: skill side effects were read incorrectly, so an adapted skill could change its ailment (Death Blow, Chi Blast, Vaikunta). Because of this fix, some seeds give a different result than in 1.2.0.
Requires your own NTSC-U ISO (SLUS-20974). No game files included.
DDS1 Randomizer 1.2.0
New: --boss-unique-skills power (or [bosses] unique_skills = "power" in a preset). A moved boss's signature skills (Seraph Lore, Celestial Ray, Fire of Sinai...) scale to the level of its new place, following a curve measured on the game's ordinary enemies. For example, Huang Long's Celestial Ray drops from 250 to 47 power if he is the first boss, and Usas's Seraph Lore drops from 80 % to 64 %. Validated in game. The default (keep) is unchanged, and so is everything else in a given seed.
Combine it with --boss-hp place (added in 1.1.0) for a gentler boss shuffle.
Requires your own NTSC-U ISO (SLUS-20974). No game files included.
DDS1 Randomizer 1.1.0
New: --boss-hp place (or [bosses] hp = "place" in a preset). Moved bosses take the HP of the boss they replace, for an easier game: e.g. Beelzebub as the first boss has 600 HP instead of 1,001. The default (curve) is unchanged, and so is everything else in a given seed.
Fixed: affinities in the spoiler log are easier to read.
Requires your own NTSC-U ISO (SLUS-20974). No game files included.
DDS1 Randomizer 1.0.0
