Silk Moths are delicate magical insects found in Forests biomes, essential for producing silk-based resources.
Fragile (2 hearts) and strongly tied to light:
-
Light Attraction: Drawn to blocks tagged as
attracts_moth(Lanterns, Salt Lamps, Sea Lanterns, etc.) - Hovering: Will hover around nearby light sources rather than idling
- Idle State: Wander or rest when no light is present
- Variants: Brown, Black, Blue, and Pink
- Can be bred using Fragrant Nectar
- Fragrant Nectar is crafted via the Mortar and Pestle
- Dropped on death: 1–2 Silk Fiber

- Leaves
- Nesting Block (priority)
- Eggs hatch into Silkworms that drops on the world as an item entity
- When Eggs are hatched in a Nesting Block, silkworms are stored automatically

- Right-click with a light source (Lantern, Torch, etc.) → spawns a Silk Moth after a short delay
- Breaking the cocoon releases a Silkworm
