Features
- Implemented a basic FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server in Java.
- Server supports concurrent connections from multiple clients.
- Clients can list files available on the server and download files.
- Proper error handling for unsupported commands and file not found errors.
Usage
- Users can download the
server.jarandclient.jarfiles to run the server and connect with the client respectively. - Server and client interaction is done via command-line interface.
- Supported commands include
LISTto list files on the server andGET <filename>to download a file. - Clients can gracefully exit the connection using the
exitcommand.
Installation
- Download the
server.jarandclient.jar. - Ensure Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is installed on the system.
- Run the server JAR file with
java -jar server.jar. - Connect to the server using the client JAR file with
java -jar client.jar <server-ip> <server-port>.
