1.32.0 — Cowork sessions, artifacts in the call, natural voices in four languages

@Atoll92 Atoll92 released this 14 Oct 03:52

Cowork sessions too: the sessions of Cowork, a tab of the Claude desktop app, appear next to your Claude Code sessions, in the list, on the board and in the live call, sub-agents and scheduled tasks included. Nothing to set up.

Artifacts in the call: when a Claude Code session publishes an artifact (a page on claude.ai), its author shares it on the screen in a browser window. Click it to pin it at full size; it follows the next versions the session publishes. The page runs in a frame that reaches neither the app nor the network.

Natural voices in four languages, and two voice styles. The voices of the Kokoro model, called "very natural" until now, speak French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese as well as English, with eight voices each, and they are the default. Until they are installed (about 750 MB) the agents babble in the Animal Crossing style, softer than before, and a line at the bottom of the call offers the install in one click. If the voices are already installed, the same line offers the small package (18 MB) that adds the other languages. The cartoon voices, Simlish and the plain system voices are gone: whoever had Simlish is on Animal Crossing, and whoever had the cartoon or the plain system voices is on the natural voices.

The call in Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese: with one of them as the interface language, the call is held in it, as it always was in French. Translating sends the lines to Anthropic through your own Claude Code login, so the first such call says it once, with Turn off next to it; the switch stays in ⚙ → Language.

The call is in the session you last touched: start a session or type in one, and the live call goes there. What the agents write no longer moves it. In VS Code it goes to the Claude Code tab you switch to. Click a call's tab to pin it (📌): it stays while you go through your tabs and while you type in it, until you ask something in another session.

The Sessions view is in sections, what waits for you first. A session that stopped on a question shows the question on its card, its pull request has a button, and ✓ puts a finished session away in a Done section.

Also: in a replay, agents take turns instead of talking over each other; a sub-agent's report is heard again with Claude Code 2.1.293 and later; tabs say which tool runs a session (Vibe, Codex, Cowork); a second session no longer goes unseen when your editor is open on another folder; ⚙ → Report a problem opens the draft of an issue with the app's version and its last errors, which you send yourself.

Checked before the release: on 89 real sessions (73,000 events) this version reads everything exactly as 1.31.0 did, apart from the sub-agent reports and the artifacts it now shows.
