@sosidudku1 sosidudku1 released this 07 Oct 14:28

The first public build of the Atomic Agent desktop app. It runs the same agent as the terminal version, bundled inside, and gives it a chat window. You can download local models and run them on your machine, connect a cloud provider, or use Fusion. Tool calls show as cards in the chat, and approvals appear inline. Settings cover MCP servers, skills, memory, scheduled tasks and a Telegram bot, and you can import your history from Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, OpenClaw and others. On macOS 26 or later you can also dictate messages with Apple's on-device speech.

Downloads

  • macOS, Apple Silicon: Atomic-Agent-0.0.1-arm64.dmg
  • Windows, x64: Atomic-Agent-Setup-0.0.1-x64.exe
  • Windows on ARM (Snapdragon): Atomic-Agent-Setup-0.0.1-arm64.exe. Local models run on the CPU there.
  • Linux, x64 and ARM64: .AppImage or .deb

Good to know

  • The app checks for new versions shortly after it opens and then every 6 hours, and asks before downloading or installing anything. Turn this off with "Check for updates automatically" in Settings › General. On macOS, move the app to Applications first, because an app run from the disk image or Downloads cannot update itself. On Linux there are no in-app updates yet, so take new versions from this page.
  • macOS needs version 14 or later.
  • Checksums are in SHA256SUMS.txt.
  • The macOS and Windows builds are signed. The Linux builds are not.
  • The desktop app keeps its own settings, API keys, sessions and memory in ~/.atomic-agent-desktop, separate from the terminal agent's ~/.atomic-agent. Setting up the app does not change your terminal setup.
  • Anonymous usage analytics and crash reports are on by default. Turn them off with the "Anonymous usage analytics" switch in Settings › General or Settings › Privacy, or set "analytics": { "enabled": false } in ~/.atomic-agent-desktop/config.json. The switch stops the app's own reporting at once, and the bundled agent stops after its next restart. If you already turned analytics off in the terminal agent and the desktop config does not set it, the app keeps it off. Message content, file paths, tool arguments, API keys and your IP address are never sent.
