Android SDK 1.1.0-beta.3
1.1.0-beta.3 — Referrer retries and delayed first open
Prerelease for controlled integration testing.
- Retry temporary Install Referrer errors, disconnects and timeouts instead of finalizing an organic install. Cache terminal results and ignore late callbacks.
- Persist the first collected app-open timestamp before network/referrer waits, and send it unchanged on install retries.
- Keep existing app-scoped installation identity and privacy defaults.
Use com.github.AttributeHQ:android-sdk:1.1.0-beta.3 from JitPack. Requires the compatible AttributeHQ API for first-open timing; older APIs may ignore the new field. Existing acknowledged installs are not reattributed by this upgrade.
Validation: 49 unit/Robolectric tests and release assembly passed. Backend validation covers saved tracking links, delayed uploads, attribution windows and duplicate ingestion. Real Google Play installation/referrer handoff is deferred and has not been proven by these fixtures. Meta/X delivery and deferred deep linking are outside this release.
Android SDK 1.1.0-beta.2
1.1.0-beta.2 — Android analytics and privacy beta
Prerelease for controlled integration testing.
Changes since beta.1
- Persistent collection controls: start disabled, enable after the app's decision, and purge pending telemetry on withdrawal.
- General advertising-sharing preferences and Meta/X restrictions; unknown is unreported, not permission.
- Explicitly opt-in sandbox evidence upload with durable sequence ordering, exact acknowledgements and immutable event-time tickets.
- Offline evidence survives process restart; old retries cannot undo newer reported restrictions.
Upgrade and limits
Use com.github.AttributeHQ:android-sdk:1.1.0-beta.2 from JitPack. Beta.1 app-scoped installation identity is retained. Collection remains enabled by default for new installations unless explicitly disabled; evidence upload remains off by default. See privacy controls and data inventory before enabling new APIs.
Android evidence requires compatible backend support (deployed in AttributeHQ commit 134c1b2). Upload is sandbox-only. It neither creates conversion receipts nor enables Meta/X delivery. No GAID, Android ID or Apple ATT fields are collected. Offline/disabled changes are unknown remotely until reported, and delivered data cannot be recalled.
Validation
46 Android tests, release assembly, lint and a separate Maven consumer passed. Live Android 14 emulator checks verified acknowledgement, immutable offline recovery, unknown preserving denial, and disabled collection across restart. Server recorded zero conversion receipts and delivery jobs. Temporary credentials were revoked and removed. See validation.
Google Play Install Referrer attribution, Android partner delivery and paid-ad attribution remain separate validation gates. SDK revenue events are analytics, not independently verified purchases.
Public package verification
JitPack built the tagged release successfully. All 16 Kotlin source files match the reviewed code. A fresh independent consumer with an empty dependency cache built successfully (32 tasks), and its resolved AAR matches the public download byte for byte.
Android SDK 1.1.0-beta.1
Android analytics beta for controlled integration testing.
Install from JitPack:
implementation("com.github.AttributeHQ:android-sdk:1.1.0-beta.1")Add https://jitpack.io to dependency repositories. Full setup instructions.
Fixes ingestion paths, persisted event IDs and in-flight batches, app-scoped installation identity, bounded Install Referrer collection and Android 21 connectivity. Removes unused advertising-ID collection.
Validation: 31 tests passed; release build and lint passed. An isolated live emulator test recorded one install and two events for one user, including recovery after offline process termination. Temporary test keys were revoked. JitPack built the tag successfully, and a fresh consumer compiled against its public artifact (32 tasks).
Upgrade: old unscoped development storage is not migrated; upgrading creates a new installation identity. This beta does not establish Google Play attribution, Android provider-sharing support or Meta/X paid attribution. Revenue events are analytics, not verified purchases.
