macOS resize fixed. On Mac, scaling the window down could clip the resize grip off-screen entirely, leaving the plugin stuck at a tiny size with no way to grow it back. The grip is now pinned to the visible bottom-right corner at every size — always grabbable, and double-click still resets to 100%.

• New: UI SIZE buttons in Settings — set the window to 75% / 90% / 100% from the Settings → About panel, no grip required
• Minimum window size raised to 75% — the too-small-to-use range no longer exists, and the minimum is enforced when the plugin loads, so a previously saved tiny size can never come back
• Windows was unaffected by the resize bug but gets the same improvements

Upgrading from 1.0.3: install over the top — your samples, presets and sessions are untouched.

Drag & drop issues resolved. Fixed the plug-in opening a blank browser tab instead of parsing files — dropping a folder of samples onto the plugin now scans it straight into the field, and dropping a single audio file adds one sphere. No dialogs.

• All common formats: folder scan now imports .wav, .aif, .aiff, .flac and .mp3 (was WAV-only)
• SCAN FOLDER pulses gently while the field is empty
• Settings panel fixes: correct version number, columns scroll properly and keep their position
• Reverb now defaults fully dry
• Exploration milestones only announce on bigger fields (no more instant "explored" on small folders)

Note: on Windows, .aif files can't be decoded when dropped (webview codec limit) — the SCAN FOLDER button imports them fine on both platforms.

macOS — install fix (please update)

Fixes a macOS installer bug where the plug-in installed with locked (unreadable) permissions, so Logic Pro, GarageBand, Reaper and other hosts couldn't scan or load it — reported as "Pathfinder installed locked files" or "the plug-in doesn't appear." After installing 1.0.2, Pathfinder loads normally as an instrument.

Also fixed in this release (macOS and Windows):

• The plug-in now reports its version correctly, so the in-app "update available" notice clears once you're on 1.0.2.
• Restored the developer/about info in the settings panel.
• The UI can no longer get stuck too small to resize — double-click the corner grip to reset to 100%.

Existing presets and samples carry over unchanged.

• macOS: Pathfinder-1.0.2-macOS.pkg — signed + notarized. Install it and reopen your DAW. Pathfinder loads as a Software Instrument (not an audio effect).
• Windows: Pathfinder-1.0.2-win64-setup.exe — signed (VST3). Install it and reopen your DAW. (Windows was not affected by the macOS permissions issue, but gets the version/settings/resize fixes.)

Maintenance update — installation reliability, velocity response, and rendering.

Fixes

• macOS: Fixed a crash during plugin scan/load that could stop Pathfinder from appearing in your DAW, or quit the host when opening the plugin. AU and VST3 now load reliably.
• Windows: Restored full velocity sensitivity across all banks — note dynamics now respond to how hard you play.

Improvements

• OpenGL rendering is enabled by default for a smoother, GPU-accelerated interface.

• macOS — download Pathfinder-1.0.1-macOS.pkg (signed & notarized) and run it. Installs the AU and VST3 to your system plug-in folders.
• Windows — download Pathfinder-1.0.1-win64-setup.exe (signed) and run it.

Presets and samples are unchanged — your existing content carries over.
