Dory 0.3.1 brings graphical Linux desktops and major release polish to Apple silicon Macs.

Choose before you download

Dory 0.3.1 has two fixed editions. The Desktop edition is much larger because it contains three complete offline graphical Linux images. If you only need Docker, Compose, Kubernetes, or command-line Linux machines, choose Lean.

Choose Desktop only when you want Dory to include the graphical Linux images for offline use.

What comes next

We are moving toward one Dory app with focused downloads built around a Docker-only core and optional Kubernetes, Linux Machines, and Linux Desktop packs. This will let users choose the payloads they need before downloading instead of taking the largest bundle.

Dory 0.3.1 currently supports Apple silicon and macOS 14 or newer. Intel support will come later.

Upgrading from 0.3.0

Quit Dory, remove the old Dory.app, then install your chosen 0.3.1 edition. Your Dory data drive is preserved.
