Important

Action required for existing users

Spotlight now includes a built-in update checker, but this only works after you reinstall once to get the new files onto your system.

Please re-run the installer to get this release:

After this one reinstall, Spotlight will notify you automatically whenever a new version is available. No more missing updates.

Spotlight carousel: The home banner now cycles through your Continue Watching and Next Up items automatically, with a dot indicator at the bottom. Click any dot to jump to that item. Auto-advances every 5 seconds and pauses on hover. If your queue is empty, it shows random items from your library so the banner is never blank.
Update notifications: Spotlight now checks for new Abyss releases on load. When a newer version is available you'll see a small notification in the bottom-right corner with a direct link to the release. Dismiss it with the × button; it won't reappear until your next session.
Mobile play button fix: The resume/play button now correctly finds and triggers native Jellyfin playback on mobile, fixing the issue where tapping play did nothing.
Home sections prompt: The installer now asks before reordering your home screen sections, since not everyone wants that changed.
Always-fresh files: The installer now always re-downloads the latest spotlight files on every run, so reinstalling is all you need to pick up updates.
