CloudBoxIO v2.0.0 - The Sharing Update
CloudBoxIO v2.0.0 - The Sharing Update
We're excited to announce CloudBoxIO v2.0.0!
⚠️ Terminology Change: public vs share
CloudBoxIO now clearly distinguishes between public files and shareable links:
- Public — A file marked as public is still part of the authenticated CloudBoxIO environment. Users must log in to access public files.
- Share — A share is a shareable link that can be accessed externally without a CloudBoxIO login. Shares can optionally have expiration times, download limits, and password protection.
API Changes
The public parameter is now used for internally public files:
/upload?public=true
/files?public=true
📚 API Documentation: See the CloudBoxIO Wiki for detailed API endpoints, request formats, responses, and status codes.
