This release adds support for newer versions of Python, up to and including Python 3.13, as well as deprecating support for outputting pandas data frames.

You can read more about how to use the SDK on the documentation site.

Python Version Compatibility

In this release of the SDK supports Python versions from 3.9 - 3.13.

Deprecating pandas methods

In this release we have deprecated the scenario.get_scenario_dataframe() method. In the future this method will be removed, along with the dependency on pandas.

You can still get the data from the get_scenario_data_csv method and convert it to a pandas dataframe if you need to using something like the following:

-df = scenario.get_scenario_dataframe("gbr", "system", "1y")
+csv_data = scenario.get_scenario_data_csv("gbr", "system", "1y")
+buffer = StringIO(csv_data)
+df = pd.read_csv(buffer, header=[0,1])
