RackSight 1.1.8 adds persistent fan-failure monitoring and includes the previously prepared Store, WinGet, and self-contained IIS packaging improvements.

Fan monitoring:

  • Learns only fans that are connected or explicitly reported present, avoiding false alerts from unused headers.
  • Detects sustained 0 RPM, a known fan becoming absent, unavailable RPM readings, and Redfish warning/critical fan health.
  • Provides a configurable fan-failure confirmation duration (default: 2 minutes).
  • Supports pending, firing, and recovery states through the dashboard, browser notifications, native Windows notifications, SMTP email, and the alert event journal.
  • Persists learned connected-fan baselines in fan-state.json; upgrades preserve this file with all other RackSight data.

Packaging carried forward:

  • Unattended Microsoft Store and WinGet installation support.
  • Optional registration for silent deployment.
  • IIS Server installer includes its Node.js runtime for offline/self-contained deployment.

The Electron and IIS installers are Authenticode-signed by AUTHORITYGATE INC and timestamped.
