v0.2.0
feat: run the recorder's commands on exact frames (#12) The plugin swaps the client's FrameStageNotify for its own and, at the start of each frame, runs the actions.txt lines due on that frame. The recorder uses it to render 480 frames a game second only where a clip is slowed and 240 elsewhere, switching on the exact frame with no seeking. If the slot isn't FrameStageNotify on a CS2 build, the plugin hands it back and frame actions stay off. Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
v0.1.0
The first release of Frame by Frame, the CS2 plugin the Auto Tournament highlight recorder loads to record clips one frame at a time.
What it does
- Makes CS2 unhide
startmovie, so the game writes every frame of a demo and its own sound, at whatever pace the GPU manages. A clip comes out the same on any GPU. - Makes one call, CS2's own
ICvar::StripDevelopmentFlags(), after checking that the function really is that one. If a CS2 update moves it, the plugin logs it and does nothing. - No hooks, no Metamod, no CounterStrikeSharp.
The recorder installs it and adds it to gameinfo.gi only while its own CS2 runs.
