Description

The DankInstall installs quickshell, then tries to install quickshell-git, which causes a conflict.

Expected Behavior

The installation process should always use quickshell-git

Steps to Reproduce

Start with a minimal Arch Linux setup, run curl -fsSL https://install.danklinux.com | sh, select Niri as compositor, ghostty as terminal emulator, then on the dependencies page, select everything (including dms-greeter). When the installation begins, it will eventually stop at the quickshell-git installation step.

I'm not sure what's causing this issue, since it ran just fine a few months ago. But here is a potential solution: e1d3fd5

Currently Arch installs look towards quickshell-git regardless of user choice in DankInstaller because quickshell stable is now too far out of date.

@purian23 Please review the Steps to Reproduce paragraph. I'm using a bare-bones Arch Linux system and the official dankinstall method to install dms. It should be easy to reproduce the problem.

Hi there, we're aware and are reaching out to the Arch maintainer to change how it's pulled upstream.

I've noticed dms-shell just made its way into the Arch official extra repo on April 6th (dms-shell), and there's a quickshell package in the extra repo too. Would that cause pacman to automatically install quickshell as a dependency of dms-shell, then cause a conflict when dankinstall enters the AUR package installation phase and tries to install quickshell-git?
