R-Shop 1.8.0 adds safer console settings, 69 supported systems, Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), and LAN/WAN failover within individual sources.

Added

  • Xbox and Xbox 360 with icons, folder aliases and RomM matching.
  • Neo Geo MVS as a separate platform from generic Arcade. PlayStation 3 remains supported.
  • Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) localization.
  • Alternative connection addresses for RomM and Web under Settings → My Sources → Connection addresses. Each source keeps its identity, priorities, mappings and library. Independent sources continue to merge.

Fixed and improved

  • Console settings save when going back, including Android Back. Source mappings and source selections are retained; a failed save can be retried.
  • ZIP extraction is off for newly configured systems. Existing choices are preserved.
  • Configuration export opens the system file-save dialog and strips credentials.
  • LAN/WAN switching retries network failures and HTTP 5xx responses, returns to the primary address on the next sync, and restarts a download safely when changing addresses. Authentication, certificate and cancellation errors do not trigger fallback.
  • Refreshed console accents, loading and empty states, game details, controller focus and settings tab persistence.

Upgrade

Install R-Shop-v1.8.0.apk over the existing app. The Android app ID and signing certificate are unchanged; the database schema is unchanged. Existing source configurations retain their behavior until alternative addresses are explicitly configured.

Use alternative addresses of the same server and library, with the same login. For RomM, platform and ROM IDs must match. Existing cached image URLs refresh on the next sync.

Validation

  • Signed Android release APK built with Flutter 3.41.5; app ID, version, signature and ZIP alignment verified.
  • 367 affected tests passed, including 23 new failover and UI tests.
  • No analysis errors or warnings and no new analyzer diagnostics.
  • The full suite has eight failures also reproduced on the unchanged baseline (Windows filesystem/mDNS behavior, an unavailable local RomM fixture, and existing UI/filter tests).
  • No Android device was connected for a hardware smoke test.

Thanks to @yangyws (PR #15) and @Vini-Frei (PR #16). Their contributions were selectively adapted for the upstream app; fork-specific app IDs, release workflows and source-selection changes are not included.
