First release of ChatGPT Tabs: a tabbed desktop app for ChatGPT on macOS and Windows.

Highlights

  • Every tab is an independent ChatGPT chat; all tabs share one sign-in that survives restarts.
  • New tabs always start on a fresh chat. Background tabs stay loaded, so you pick up where you left off.
  • ChatGPT's own sidebar, chat history, model picker, uploads, drag and drop, voice and downloads work as usual.
  • Links to other websites open in your default browser.
  • Keyboard shortcuts: ⌘/Ctrl+T, ⌘/Ctrl+W, ⌘/Ctrl+R, ⌘/Ctrl+1–9, Ctrl+Tab.
  • No telemetry, no analytics, no API key. Your password is only ever typed into the real sign-in pages.

  • macOS: signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Open the DMG and drag the app into Applications.
  • Windows: not code-signed yet. If SmartScreen says "Windows protected your PC", choose More info → Run anyway.
  • Verify your download with SHA256SUMS.txt.
