Post‐Install

Maybe there are few things you want to do after installation. Here are some stuff:

Change desktop background

To change desktop background there are two ways:

1. Use Nitrogen: Nitrogen is an app used to change wallpapers. You can select the directory with your pictures, and select it. If you use this method, you will probably need to edit .config/awesome/rc.lua and add at the end of the file awful.spawn.with_shell("nitrogen --restore") in order to autostart Nitrogen daemon. In some case, this option is set by default, no need to change the file.

2. Classic way: Pick your picture and move it in .config/awesome/images/sus/walls/ with the name "dark.png" or "light.png", depending on which theme you use. If you want to use a jpg picture, edit .config/awesome/images/init.lua and change the name of the extension line 31 (last line).

Change your profile picture

Pretty simple: Just replace "profile.png" in .config/awesome/images/sus/. keep the same name. if the filename or the file extension is different, change the name in .config/awesome/images/init.lua, line 17 (or where you see "profile").

Change the userdesc ("@AxOS is Awesome")

You just have to change the line in .config/awesome/rc.lua, category "profile", line "userdesc". That's all !
