Timeline of how many hits there are over time

Using Kibana it is easy to show a timeline of the search results given a specific time range. The following picture shows the interface for selecting the time range, this is a required step since it is default set to 'last 15 minutes' and the collection is from 1987. So the time range can vary between 01-01-1987 and 31-12-1987.

The following picture shows the timeline given a query and a time range. As you can see, Kibana offers a clean and intuitive overview.
