The game is played on four grids two for each player. The grids are 10x10 squares.
The player arranges his/her ships and the shots by the opponent on one grid and records
his/her shots on the other gird. The game takes place in a series of rounds. The ships cannot overlap.
Players take turns to announce a target in the opponent's grid which is to be shot at.
If a player misses he marks his grid with a white peg. If it’s a hit they mark their grid with a red peg
and if your own ship is hit you also mark it with a red peg. When all of the squares of a ship have been hit,
the ship is sunk. If all of a player's ships have been sunk, the game is over and their opponent wins.
