download compatible version of hibernate with your java version from the https://hibernate.org/orm/releases/6.0/ Install Mysql : and setup connection setting up hibernate in eclipse : Step 1: Create Eclipse project : first change the perspective to java Step 2: Download hibernate files : down hibernate from above mentioned link, extract the zip folder , go to lib/required , copy all the files, create a new folder names lib in the project in eclipse and paste all the files in lib folder. Step 3: Download Mysql JDBC driver - download the mysql connector for java , using the link: https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/ (download platform independent zip) , extract the files, and copy the single jar that you have downloaded in eclipse project ->lib folder. Step 4:Add jar file to eclipse project ...Buildpath -> right click on project/properties/java build path/ add jars/ and add all the jars.
