New commands

  • router-axi watch — bounded read-only WAN state and traffic polling (default 6 samples at 5s; --interval/--count/--json). No unbounded mode, no file output, no background mode. Watch failures use the watch_timeout code (exit 4).
  • router-axi reboot — preview by default; --confirm sends the documented DeviceConfig:Reboot exactly once. Lost or malformed responses are reported as uncertain outcomes; never polled or retried. Reboot is not idempotent.
  • router-axi backup — downloads the documented DeviceConfig:X_AVM-DE_GetConfigFile export to an explicitly named file with an atomic owner-only write; never overwrites without --force. Requires an HTTPS router origin (backup_requires_https); the export passphrase comes only from ROUTER_AXI_BACKUP_PASSWORD and is never printed or reused from the login password.

Changed

  • The shared tls_untrusted error contract now applies consistently to all commands, including reboot and backup: an untrusted router certificate is reported as tls_untrusted (exit 4) with a hint to trust the router's HTTPS certificate locally; verification is never skipped and no secrets are discarded from the error output.

Source-only release; no binary assets. Live hardware validation for the new commands was performed in prior authorized runs; mutations are not live-tested in CI.
