Raw Viewer 0.5.3

The first public release of Raw Viewer — a fast, keyboard-driven RAW photo viewer and non-destructive editor for macOS (Apple silicon).

Highlights

• Fast RAW browsing — staged decode (instant preview → edit quality → 100%), forward preloading of upcoming photos, near-zero idle CPU on large folders
• Non-destructive develop — white balance, tone curve, HSL, noise reduction and sharpening, automatic lens correction (lensfun), effects, crop and geometry; originals are never touched
• GPU rendering — WebGL2 pipeline, with an experimental WebGPU backend (compute-shader noise reduction) selectable in Settings
• Culling tools — star ratings, pick/reject flags, color labels, filters, RAW+JPEG pairing, grid view, slideshow
• Export — batch JPEG/PNG/TIFF (8/16-bit) and DNG, edit presets, copy/paste settings between photos

Install

1. Download Raw.Viewer_0.5.3_aarch64.dmg
2. Open it and drag Raw Viewer into Applications

Requires macOS 13 or later on Apple silicon. The app is signed and notarized. Future updates arrive through the built-in updater.
