@BANG404 BANG404 released this 06 Oct 09:23

Plugin Developer / 插件开发助手 is the plugin that creates, tests and qualifies other plugins. Its stable ID remains openagent-plugin-kit and its source is BANG404/openagent-plugin-kit.

Message Board / 留言板 (message-board) is an independent persistent messaging plugin in BANG404/message-board. The two packages have separate commands, MCP tools, source repositories, releases and plugin data.

Development workflow

  • Start from a requirement, bundled Skills and a template, including an HTTPS repository at a recorded Git revision.
  • /openagent-plugin-kit:create, :status, :stop, :resume and :accept manage a saved workflow bound to the conversation and branch.
  • Validate the package, run behavior tests, and install/call it against an isolated server using the production Runtime API. Evidence is bound to exact package bytes.
  • Successful unfinished turns continue with a bounded budget; failure, cancellation and qualification stop continuation. Developer acceptance remains explicit.
  • The MCP lifecycle template demonstrates Direct/Relay tool leases, renewal and unmounting.
  • Keep plugin sources in the current project's established plugin directory. In OpenAgent the two source paths are plugins/openagent-plugin-kit/ and plugins/message-board/; other projects fall back to plugin/<package-id>/ when no convention exists.

Installation and requirements

Extract the attached ZIP and install the directory containing plugin.json through Settings → Plugins → Install. Existing openagent-plugin-kit installations retain their stable ID and plugin data. Start with /openagent-plugin-kit:create <requirements>.

Node.js is required for MCP/commands/hooks, Git for repository templates, and Bun 1.2+ for scaffolding and validation. Full development and acceptance require a compatible OpenAgent Runtime with Stop-hook execution_id, version-one MCP lease operations, portable JavaScript command launches and --control-file supervision. This release was qualified against SDK revision 9cad6a4e178d9d7f9866120c02e2ba31645b3cd6 using a source-built server and the production desktop API. Older installed runtimes lacking these features must be updated; this plugin release does not ship a desktop application or Runtime binary.

Validation

127 package tests passed. The package and all nine templates passed validation; the installed package passed the platform's English/Chinese locale qualification. The real Agent workflow read three installed Skills, scaffolded a repository template, implemented and behavior-tested a candidate, retained a failed test, passed nested Runtime acceptance, continued twice, and recorded developer acceptance without another continuation. Plugin names were inspected in a real Tauri window in light/dark and English/Chinese during the development qualification.

The archive places plugin.json at its root and includes the complete package. GitHub publishes its SHA-256 digest for verified updates. Previous releases remain available.
