Serving Files

You can use this server to serve files easily. All the files you store in the files_directory are accessible via the http://localhost:8080/<relative_path_from_file_directory>.

For example, consider the following file tree:

working_dir/
    |
    |-pages/
    |-data/
    |-files/
        |-sample_file.md
        |-sample_dir/
            |-sample_file_two.md

If files was the files_directory, one can access sample_file.md by hitting the URL http://localhost:8080/sample_file.md and to access sample_file_two.md, they'll have to use http://localhost:8080/sample_dir/sample_file_two.md. The curl command would be

curl  http://localhost:8080/files/sample_directory
curl http://localhost:8080/files/sample_dir/sample_file_two.md
