Open Questions

These are questions that come up in developing the model, including concerns with low-level and fine-grained details.

1. In worker allocation, when the firm chooses workers according to required abilities, it ranks them by the average of those abilities for each worker. Should this average be weighted? If so, how? For example, if a producer is asked to produce Product A, which requires abilities 1, 2, and 3, the firm will look for workers with the highest average of abilities 1, 2, and 3 (as that worker's personal attributes). Suppose the product's necessary abilities for production lists those required abilities in an order that implies that ability 1 is more important than ability 2. Should the producer weight the average for each worker in a way that reflects this ranking of requirements?
