ODV-MCP v0.2.0

ODV-MCP is a research-grade MCP bridge for Ocean Data View.

This first public release connects MCP-capable AI clients to an existing Ocean Data View installation through a self-contained Windows application—no Python environment or development setup required.

The public MCP surface contains 8 tools, 1 fixed resource, and 2 resource templates. ODV-MCP v0.2.0 was independently audited before public release.

Ocean Data View is not bundled and must be installed separately.

Windows signing

Windows binaries are currently unsigned and may trigger Microsoft SmartScreen.

Verify downloads

Download SHA256SUMS.txt, then compare a file with its published SHA-256 value. In PowerShell:

Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 .\ODV-MCP-Setup-x64.exe

The resulting hash should match the corresponding line in SHA256SUMS.txt.
