Sponsor License
As a token of gratitude to our sponsors, sponsors will be able to receive a sponsor license and unlock some nice-to-have features for Pineapple Notepad before this project reaches its open-source sponsorship goals. You can learn more about how to become a sponsor here. This Wiki page will cover about the usage of the sponsors license.
To get the sponsor license, you needs to become a (at least tier 0) sponsor. Please read here if you are not already a sponsor, we assume you already are a sponsor for the following content.
If you made a donation via itch.io or Afdian after the 1.0.0 public release, the platform will send you a redeem code so you can redeem your sponsor license after purchase. Please use that code for the next step.
At the time of writing, if you made a donation via Ko-fi, you will need to wait for the developer to send you the redeem code manually, which will usually take less than a day. Please contact the author if it's not the case and sorry for the inconvenient.
Note
If you already made a donation before the 1.0.0 public release, the author probably already try to reach you out via Email or direct message on the platform you made your donation. Please check your email or DM and see if there are related messages that contains the redeem code. If not, please contact the author (see "Need Help?" section) so you can get your redeem code.
The redeem code looks like: ABCDE-FGHIJ-KLMNO.
Head to this page to redeem your license. You'll need to enter the redeem code, your name (will be displayed in your license) and your e-mail address. After that, press "Redeem & Download license" to download your license. If the redeem code and email address are both valid, the redeem code will be associated with the email address, and the browser will download a your@email.address.lic file, which is the Sponsor License file.
Note
We won't send you any email for email ownership validation. The email address you entered while redeeming your license will be the only method to recover your sponsor license if you both lost the license file and forgot the redeem code.
Once you have your .lic file, read the "Using Your Sponsor License" section below for next step.
In case you lost your .lic file or for other reasons you need to download another copy of your Sponsor License, use this page to redownload the license.
You'll need to enter your email and redeem code to redownload the license.
Note
If you lost both the license file and forgot the redeem code, you will need to email the author using that email address to recover your redeem code, which can be used to redownload the license file.
You will need Pineapple Notepad version >= 1.0.0-beta2 to use the Sponsor License. From the menu bar, go to "Help" > "Sponsor" to bring up the "Sponsor" dialog.
Then, go the the "I'm a Sponsor" tab, and click the "Import License File..." button, locate your .lic file and click "Open". Done.
Note
The above screenshot only intended to show you the tab/button location. Copywriting (text it shows) might be difference when you open that dialog.
- Color Editor for existing themes
Please reach out to us via email (email address can be found within the application's About dialog) or by creating an Issue in this GitHub repository if you need any help.
- Tier 1 and tier 2 sponsors can also download the Sponsor Edition of the application from itch.io, which doesn't need a Sponsor License to unlock the sponsor features.
- You can still "activate" your license in the Sponsor Edition of the application as well, while it does mostly nothing.
- You can use your license file on any devices as long as you own that device. You shall not share your license to other person.
