Try to update your certificates. You can use this tool for that: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/update_boinc_certificate.zip |

Unfortunately that did not seem to improve the situation. I installed the certificates package while BOINC was closed – should it be open while the update installation is under way? The BOINC software still does not seem to recognize PodMan, and I am unable to add an account manager (I have been using Science United, which works fine on my newer MacBook Air). Thanks for offering a potential solution! |

The BOINC client on my old MacBook Air no longer communicates with existing projects or allows me to add new projects. I have installed PodMan 5.8.1 (the Docker replacement) as directed and am running BOINC 8.2.9. Maybe the ol' Mac is finally too old? It is a "mid-2011" Intel Core i5 running macOS 10.13.6. Any help would be appreciated!
