Before installing
This is a release candidate, not a final stable release.
Back up important settings and keep a way to reinstall.
For v1.5, use the matching installation media and follow the
installation guide. Do not upgrade an older or another vendor's
firmware in place. Installation erases settings and data on the
destination storage.
Verify the download's SHA-256 checksum before flashing.
A sysupgrade image is not first-installation media.
Important limitations
- R4-Pro 4E is experimental; firmware rollback is not available.
- SIM hot-swapping is not supported. Power off before changing an
internal module's SIM. Disconnect an external dongle before
changing its SIM, then reconnect it. - WAN bandwidth shaping cannot be used with Multi-WAN load balancing.
Guest and IoT bandwidth limits can. - Per-device and per-protocol bandwidth limits are not available.
