What changed

Changed

  • A single click selects; a double click opens (mouse). The default open
gesture is now the classic desktop file-manager one — a single click selects a
row/card, a double click opens it, and Enter opens the selection. This
reverses 0.41.x's "any click opens" for a mouse; it is a per-viewer setting
(ExplorerConfig.openTrigger: 'single' | 'double', default 'double'), and
the desktop app exposes it under Settings → Open files with.
    • ⚠ Touch is untouched. A finger tap always opens (the mobile convention,
and there is no hover-to-select on a touchscreen); the checkbox is still the
one click that selects, on every device and in either mode.

Added

  • ExplorerConfig.openInHost — when set, opening a file emits file-opened
and the explorer does NOT mount its own in-page preview; the host opens the
file itself. The desktop app uses this to open every document in its own
    window
, one per file (any type), so a future editor drops into the same
    path. Directories still navigate inline; Space quick-look still peeks in-page;
E2E-encrypted files keep the in-page decrypted preview.
  • Desktop: frameless document + main windows with our own window controls.
The native OS caption is gone. On Windows/Linux the app draws its own
minimize / maximize / close (the main window in a slim title bar, each document
window in a reserved top bar so it never sits on the viewer's own top row —
OnlyOffice's profile/share stays clear); on macOS the native traffic lights
are kept (titleBarStyle: 'hiddenInset', top-left) and no buttons are drawn.
The top strip is the drag handle.
  • Window / tab titles name the open document. A document window's title (and,
on the web, the /files/edit browser tab) is the file's name rather than the
server's Branding name; the main explorer window stays the whitelabel name, or
filex when the server sets no branding. On the desktop the title is pinned in
the main process (page-title-updated guard) so the admin SPA can't override
it; on the web the router's per-route title (lib/documentTitle) names the
    file on the editor route.
