• Covers and resized pages survive a restart. Every processed page
  variant (thumbnails, phone-sized pages, trimmed pages) is now kept on disk
  under the data directory as well as in memory, so the first Home screen or
  library grid after a restart no longer reads thirty archives cold off the
  storage. Bounded to about twenty thousand files, oldest out first.
• Covers are rendered ahead of time. A new hourly job, Pre-render issue
  covers, makes the cover thumbnail for newly imported files, and a boot
  catch-up does the same for the newest few hundred, so a fresh download
  shows its cover on the shelves without anyone paying for the first render.
