Balemuni’s Turnip Mesa 26.3.0-devel — Apex Universal/Ultimate V2
Apex Universal V2 is the next generation of the Apex Edition — rebuilt from the latest Mesa main branch, compiled with an upgraded toolchain, and tested across multiple devices. It delivers smoother performance, higher stability, and broader compatibility than previous releases.
What’s New Compared to Apex Edition
Updated Toolchain
Both builds are now compiled with NDK r28, improving frame pacing and instruction scheduling across all CPU clusters.
Latest Mesa Main Base
Rebuilt from the newest main branch (b9a2bf3), including all recent upstream optimizations, shader compiler fixes, and improvements for Adreno 6xx, 7xx, and 8xx GPUs.
Targeted Game Fixes
Community‑reported issues have been directly addressed:
- Zelda: TOTK — GMEM autotune pinning and depth-direction handling to fix missing grass and blocky terrain (#8)
- Zelda: BOTW — GMEM pinning to reduce milky water and shrine flickering (#4)
Unique Driver Identification
Each build now has a unique package fingerprint, preventing emulators like Eden from confusing different releases.
Updated Requirements
Android 13 or newer is now required.
Core Features from Apex Edition
- Global Code Motion (IR3,
gcm=1) for reduced register pressure and higher framerates - 4 GB shader cache to eliminate shader compilation stutter
- TOTK/BOTW GMEM fixes for black blocks and flickering
- 512 KB suballocator pools for reduced memory fragmentation
- Extended emulator compatibility via native Driconf rules
- Stable multi‑cluster performance across all Big.LITTLE CPU cores
Available Builds
Ultimate Edition (SD8 Gen 2 / AYN Thor)
