OmaTUNES v1.0.0 Release Notes

We are thrilled to announce the official v1.0.0 Release of OmaTUNES! This milestone release introduces a brand new 5-mode canvas audio visualizer engine with decaying motion trails, a dedicated Visualizer Settings tab, refined rich-text toast notifications, and numerous UI polish improvements.

🎨 New Features & Visualizer Engine

1. 5 Visually Distinct Audio Visualizer Modes

  • Mode 0: Mirrored Spectrograph Bars: Classical dual-mirrored frequency spectrograph with floating peak caps.
  • Mode 1: Radial Pulse & Orbital Spectrum: Central pulsating bass core surrounded by 144 orbiting frequency spokes.
  • Mode 2: Liquid Silk Rainbow Ribbon: 3 overlapping fluid wave ribbons with trailing multi-colored rainbow streams.
  • Mode 3: Particle Constellation Starburst: Orbiting star nodes linked by energetic constellation webs and comet trails.
  • Mode 4: Hyperdrive Waterfall Depth Tunnel: Perspective depth rings with cascading waterfall streams flowing into the center of the tunnel.

2. Visualizer Settings & Decaying Ghost Motion Trails

  • 50% Smaller Selector Dots: Scaled down visualizer dot indicators (6px active / 4.5px inactive) with theme accent highlighting and bright white hover glow.
  • New Visualizer Settings Tab: Dedicated tab in App Settings (Ctrl+,) with live sliders for:
    • Reaction Intensity / Sensitivity (0.2x to 2.5x): Adjust how subtly or dynamically the visualizer responds to audio volume and frequencies.
    • Ghost Trail Length (2 to 16 frames): Controls how long historical ghost images trail behind live audio graphics.
    • Ghost Decay Speed (10% to 90%): Controls how quickly trailing ghost images dissolve into the background.
    • Spectrum Color Shift (0.0 to 2.0): Controls how dynamically historical ghost frames shift colors through your theme's palette over time.

🛠️ Enhancements & Bug Fixes

  • Rich Text Toast Notification Redesign:
    • Moved toast notifications higher up on screen so they no longer obscure bottom-right action buttons (Settings, Achievements, Group-By).
    • Song titles, artist names, album titles, and genres are now highlighted with bold text formatting inside notification toasts.
    • Fixed real-time playback tick rank tracking so Top 10 ladder position changes trigger instant toast alerts during playback.
  • UI Button & Icon Restoration:
    • Restored missing icon buttons for Search, Achievements, and Settings.
    • Standardized visualizer equalizer bar heights and button sizes.
  • Theme Color Synchronization:
    • Enforced theme lock across all visualizer accents—visualizer graphics and dot selection indicators automatically adopt your active desktop theme (Nord, Catppuccin, Dracula, Gruvbox, etc.).
