Period-prefixed directories (e.g. .git and .ddev) were commonly included in both project and vendor directories, and causing the size of built PHAR files to be much larger than needed. As a result of this change, built PHAR files may be dramatically smaller now. However, in the event that you had projects that were intending to include period-prefixed directories into the build, they will need to be adjusted before using this new version.
