OMI Desktop v0.12.174

What's New

  • Chat can now save a remembered fact in your own words instead of copying the exact phrase you typed
  • Tasks you delete now show up under “Removed by me” instead of “Removed by AI”, and Omi stops re-suggesting them
  • Desktop Beta now ships from the hourly signed-candidate train without a separate qualification wait.
  • Conversation detail and meeting-notes chat cards can copy a public share link, with confirmation that anyone with the link can view
  • Proactive notifications no longer go quiet after a busy day: silent background evaluations stopped counting against the daily notification budget
  • Omi responds faster on work you keep returning to and can follow up right after you switch away
  • Notifications now say times in your local time zone instead of UTC
  • Proactive answers now arrive even if you switch away while Omi is still thinking
  • Improved proactive notifications on detail questions: the context director's lookup now also searches verbatim transcript excerpts with dates, not just conversation summaries
  • Fixed glass panels losing their rounded-corner clipping
  • When meeting notes finish processing, a notification now recommends your open action items from the meeting and clicking it takes you to the conversation
  • Notification settings now keep syncing in the background after a failed save, so the toggle you see stays aligned with the server
  • Fixed a crash when granting Screen Recording for the first time during onboarding
  • Omi Beta is a separate app you install beside Omi. Switching an update channel no longer turns this app into a beta build
  • Fixed the same due-task nudge being delivered repeatedly in quick succession at Maximum notification frequency
  • Screen task capture no longer retries permanently rejected sync payloads forever; unusable duplicate-task references now fall back to a new suggestion instead of failing delivery
