We moved up 20 revisions and so we better god damn deliver! And do we? MILDLY!

The amount of effort getting basic fucking features to work and not break everything else has been...........

Less than pleasant.

BUT HOLY SHIT NOW WE HAVE BADASS FEATURES THAT SEEM TO WORK CAUSE I'M NOT DEBUGGING THIS FUCKING THING FOR A WHOLE WEEK AGAIN!

##NEWER THAN NEW

  • Hotfixed to solve numerous bugs with multiple displays and video logic.
  • Added the much anticipated (by me at least) "Sneaky Bitch Mode".
  • SBM (Its organisational name) will keep capturing but with the overlay hidden. Usually requires app restart to turn off, but not to turn on.
  • You can toggle it in the settings or the badass right click context overlay menu.
  • Sort keeps your files named like you didn't get pounded with a cast iron milk pail growing up and somehow, manages to count.
(SBM is essentially manual mode if you enable it but don't hide the overlay, any other logic broke this thing so badly.)

#NEW

  • Overlay can now navigate through all your files saved through it.
  • Those files can be sorted with one click and use a sexy db.
  • Navigation can be done with left and right arrow keys when the overlay is focused. The down key stops and starts GIFs.
  • Shittons of video detection methods that will probably fail half the time anyway (just set the capture frame to the video size ya'll) but includes auto-cropping when it does actually figure out what the fuck is going on.
  • Light image caching. Very basic because Python GIFs nom your memory and I wanted CPU usage to still be low.
  • Working Clickthrough!
  • Snapping with multi-monitor support and boundary respect.
  • Double shift captures will no longer capture those gross seams between monitors you leave weird shit in.
  • I now have a deep hatred for SWE-1, the worst AI assistant ever made that is dumber than a fucking sock, that is actively fucking.
  • Slightly improved visuals of settings!

Future considerations are a proper manual mode, multiple overlays for maximum goon and suicide.

Who knew we'd ever achieve version 2.222, but here we are and there you are, reading this for some archaic reason.

  • Significantly improved I/O and Memory performance.
  • Lowered naughty crash count.
  • Added in the most important feature of all, blue rectangles that show where your quick captures came from.
  • Added a experimental video setting but I spent 8 hours and it went through 19 phases of puberty to not work on certain things, to most things, to everything. It's still there, you can check it but I dunno wtf it's gonna do. Might fix it next month if there is enough blood for the blood god.
  • Actually remembers most of the shit you do to the overlay. Most of it. It won't remember the window position unless you kill a small child while it watches.
  • Fixed a weird layering issue it had.

And just to remind you that this thing can PLAY YOUR GIFS IN AN OVERLAY (HOLYSHIT!), HERE IS A REAL LIFE USAGE EXAMPLE.

Discovered a wee bit late that additional monitors were not capturing, now they should without issue.

2.2 Ahoy!
Yes, we're only moving in 2s and you're going to need to learn to live with that.

There is absolutely nothing functionally or visually new, I did however fix a bug where double-shift capturing didn't save to history despite having history saving enabled, so yay?

God damn right we're starting with V2!

This is my magnum derpus and is so useful I might even contemplate less self-harm in the short term.

Screenshot shows part of the utility.
