Aliens Versus Predator: VR v0.5

• Quest: Download the apk, install it on your headset via SideQuest or similar, then run it before adding game assets.
• Windows (64bit): Download the exe place in same folder where assets are. Download the avp-libraries-windows-x64.zip file (ffmpeg and sdl dlls), extract to where exe is, and run the exe to play. This is the flat version to play on a normal pc which you can use to multiplay with other Windows and Quest players!

Caution

Aliens wall walking on Quest is still broken. I'm taking a break from trying to fix it as nothing seems to work! 😑

Latest updates:

• Plays on Quest 1 now!
• Can reset your view by holding down right Meta button. Now other players won't look small if you change from sitting to standing.
• Stop clipping to floor when die.
• Scoreboard fixed on multiplayer mode.

Latest updates:

• Can delete profile with B button on Quest controller or Backspace like original game on Windows.
• Added a Extra Cheats menu option. Here you can set to be invincible or have any weapon! Can also slow down enemies for those who find the Aliens (or any others) just too fast! Note they're disabled for Multiplayer.
• Another go at directional audio fixes. Apparently some Alien sounds aren't meant to be directional though.
• Can adjust HUD elements added in Control Configuration to be drawn closer in for those FOV are a bit narrower. 3 is default. 2 and 1 brings them in more.
• Manual Reload added in Control Configuration for those who want it so its like modern games. It's off by default.
• Add icon to Windows exe and some file properties details.

NOTE: Aliens wall walking on Quest is still broken. It will be the next fix to do. I promise!

This 0.3 update has a number of fixes done:

• Can delete a profile by pressing B on Quest in Select User Profile screen. A still selects it.
• Add virtual keyboard functionality for Quest to name your profile or set Multiplay options.
• Lots of fixes for Windows build.
• Multiplayer now works! Play against other Quest or Windows players on a local LAN.
• On Quest, you can move in physical world and character will also move.
• Fix lighting around video screens as was way too bright.
• Adjust gamma for Quest.
• Remove fidget animations on hands on Quest.
• Muzzle flash fix on Quest.
• Position hands and weapons a little better on Quest.
• Score board is now world-anchored on Quest.

This 0.2 update has a number of fixes and features added (Mostly for Marine and Predator. Aliens will be my focus for next update):

• Predator disc weapons trails show for right eye too now.
• Aim with right controller instead of head with Predator disc when tracking is not used.
• Left grip retrieves the Predator disc.
• Taunt key mapped to X button.
• Enemy muzzle flashes now shows in both eyes.
• Add long press to left menu button to show Mission Log. Useful if you've forgotten what to do!
• Fix CD audio volume adjust slider.
• Save Progress option if select Abort Play.
• Speed up Weapon Change.
• Down on right controller chooses previous weapon.
• Jetpack on Left Trigger for Marine working.
• Grappling Hook for Predator working. (Left trigger to fire it, right controller to aim).
• On Predator, Zoom In works on long press Y.
• For Predator, the tracking with shoulder cannon now tracks target.
• Fix Predator Pistol charge.
• Fix Marine Smart Gun targeting.
• Fix Marine radar to face direction players head is.
• Add vertical audio positioning as was only horizontal in flat mode.
• Fix positional audio for in-game messages videos.
