Bot

The SDAC bot is the Discord-facing side of the project. It handles media submissions, moderation commands, guessing games, release notifications, and bot-owner administration.

Core Areas

• Media submission slash commands and repost handling.
• Category and submit-channel configuration.
• Optional approval queues before media is reposted.
• Moderator, admin, server-owner, and bot-owner command access.
• Website-managed guessing game library and scheduled games.
• Anime-related games and activities, currently marked as experimental and removable in future updates.
• Official update announcements for new official releases.
• Discord-side reset and maintenance commands.

Access Notes

• Bot Owner is the highest global role.
• Server Owner applies only within that server.
• Users can have different roles on different servers.
• Admins should only manage servers they belong to or have been granted access to.

Release Notes

• Use Bot update when only bot behavior changes.
• Use Bot and App update when bot changes also affect the dashboard API or companion app.
• Verify official release notification behavior whenever release handling changes.

Future Updates

• Keep command documentation synced with Discord command changes.
• Keep permission notes synced with role-rule changes.
• Keep experimental games marked as removable until they are promoted to stable.
