New

• Mac installer. The macOS download is now a signed, notarized disk image: open it and drag Okilum to Applications. Updates still arrive automatically.
• Code files with syntax highlighting. Source files open highlighted, with a soft-wrap toggle for long lines.
• A simpler note toolbar. It shows only the actions that apply to the current note: one button for the mode you are in, and one toggle to switch it.
• Update checks without a pop-up. "Check for Updates" now shows its result inline (up to date, update available, or an error) instead of a modal window.
• Collapse or expand the whole sidebar from the vault header.

Faster

• Large notes open faster. Long notes start painting without laying out every block first.
• Steadier search palette. While you type, the previous results stay on screen until the next ones arrive, instead of flashing empty.

Fixed

• New windows always open inside the visible screen area, centred.
• In Quick Open, pressing Enter before the results appear now opens the top result instead of being lost.
• Italic text renders as italic: the italic font is now bundled.
• Note and code-view menus no longer show language-server items that do nothing there.
• Right-clicking a link shows only the link menu.
• Live Preview: heading markers appear once a mouse click settles, and theme colours stay right after a click.

Behind the scenes

• Sync groundwork. Okilum now ships its sync supervisor as a separate, signed helper on macOS and Windows, and checks it before use. Sync itself is not switched on in this beta.
• Rename finished. Every internal Tessera name is gone. Settings saved by Okilum builds from 9 October may reset once.
