CodexBar KDE 0.2.1

This release redesigns the dashboard around a hybrid rail-and-stage layout with a unified color system, and fixes a TLS failure that broke reset-credit redemption from the AppImage.

Highlights

• Overview redesign — provider rail (brand icon, tightest window, spark meter) beside a per-window stage with segmented block meters and pace markers; fleet aggregate strip (tightest window / next reset / providers live) on top.
• One color system everywhere — provider brand accents while a meter is healthy (<70% used), amber at 70–89%, red at 90%+. The same rule drives Overview meters, History bars, the Burn-down line, and the tray tooltip's severity dots (🟢🟡🔴).
• Collapsible sidebar — Ctrl+B (or ☰) collapses to a 52px icon rail; Ctrl+1–Ctrl+4 switch views; state persists across restarts.
• Glance-card tray tooltip — one line per provider (severity dot, N% left, unicode meter, next reset) plus a fleet footer, replacing the raw field dump.
• Codex reset credits panel — deduplicated single-home facts (count in header, expiry on the redeem button, duration run on the line) with one-click Redeem next.
• AppImage TLS fix — the bundled OpenSSL now wires to the host CA store via a probe chain in AppRun; reset-credit redemption from the AppImage no longer fails with certificate errors. AppRun warns on stderr if no host CA bundle is found.
• Wayland titlebar icon — install docs now use the reverse-DNS launcher/icon name matching the window app_id, so KWin associates the window correctly.
• 53 vendored provider icons (tinted per-provider brand accents at load), corrected stage-row font metrics, QSettings test sandboxing, and a three-reviewer simplification pass over the whole diff.

Licensing & supply chain

The AppImage bundles the GPLv3 PyQt6 6.7.1 wheel set and CPython 3.11.14 (pins unchanged from v0.2.0). THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md, the SPDX 2.3 SBOM, and the exact corresponding source archives (PyQt6, PyQt6-sip, CPython, python-appimage, Qt) are published alongside the binary with hashes matching the notice. This release hardens CodexBar KDE's authentication, privacy, process lifecycle, history persistence, and AppImage supply chain.

Highlights

• Reject cross-origin redirects before forwarding Codex credentials, bound API responses, revalidate reset-credit targets, and reconcile ambiguous redemption outcomes without retrying irreversible requests.
• Redact structured and unstructured credentials across UI, tray, CLI, and error boundaries; hide account identity by default.
• Make usage/history persistence private, durable, concurrency-safe, and resilient to malformed JSON, invalid UTF-8, excessive nesting, unsafe identifiers, and extreme numeric/time values.
• Cleanly stop worker threads and complete process groups during cancellation, timeout, and application shutdown.
• Support and continuously test Python 3.10 through 3.14.
• Ship a pinned, reproducible x86_64 AppImage with a glibc 2.28 ceiling, immutable build inputs, fail-closed ABI auditing, and byte-identical local/CI output.
• Include third-party notices, complete license texts, an SPDX 2.3 package SBOM, and mirrored corresponding-source archives.

• Local builds under umasks 022 and 077 are byte-identical and match the exact-commit CI artifact.
• ABI audit: GLIBC 2.28, GLIBCXX 3.4.22, CXXABI 1.3.11 across 350 ELF files.
• SHA256SUMS covers the AppImage, wheel, sdist, notices, SBOM, and all mirrored source archives.

Licensing and source availability

The project source remains MIT-licensed. The combined AppImage contains the public GPLv3 build of PyQt6 and is distributed compatibly with GPLv3. Exact corresponding-source archives are attached to this release rather than relying only on upstream URLs.
