Summary

Perlustron v0.2.0 is a local-first agent-forensics workbench for Codex and Claude Code JSONL session logs. It provides a loopback-only browser UI, parser health, timeline/transcript/map views, debugging insights, session diff, and redacted reports.

Install

  1. Download the archive for your platform.
  2. Download the matching .sha256 file and optional .manifest.json file.
  3. Verify the checksum, then inspect the manifest if you need the per-file package inventory.
  4. Extract the archive and run perlustron --demo.

Artifacts

  • perlustron-linux-x86_64.tar.gz plus .sha256 and .manifest.json
  • perlustron-windows-x86_64.zip plus .sha256 and .manifest.json
  • perlustron-macos-x86_64.tar.gz plus .sha256 and .manifest.json
  • perlustron-macos-aarch64.tar.gz plus .sha256 and .manifest.json

Release Integrity

Each manifest JSON records the target, source commit, archive SHA-256, signing/notarization status, required docs/assets, and per-file SHA-256 values for the packaged bundle. The release workflow also extracts every archive and verifies key docs/assets are present before launching the local UI smoke test.

Security And Privacy

Perlustron binds to 127.0.0.1 by default, bundles browser assets locally, and does not implement telemetry. API routes are tokenless by default on loopback; launch with --require-api-token to require a random per-run local API token. Redacted exports and scans are best-effort sharing aids and should be reviewed before forwarding.

macOS Signing

macOS archives are signed and notarized only when Apple Developer signing secrets are configured for the release run. If those secrets are absent, the macOS archives are unsigned developer-preview CLI artifacts and users may need to open the binary from Terminal or remove quarantine manually.

Test Plan

  • Built frontend assets.
  • Built release binary.
  • Packaged checksummed platform archives with docs, security notes, and manifest JSON files.
  • Extracted each archive, verified required docs/assets, launched perlustron --demo --no-open, and loaded the local UI plus /app.js.

Release Tour

  • perlustron-v0.2.0-release-tour.mp4 is a 35-second local-first product tour using synthetic fixture data. It showcases Summary-first verdicts, evidence drilldown, Timeline/Transcript, Map, Insights, Diff, and Export surfaces.
